Izzy hails from Houston, Texas and is currently based out of New York City.  She made it to New York by way of Chicago for undergrad at De Paul University. Since 2006 she has designed for over 20 theater companies in the New York City area: Fault Line Theatre, Atlantic Theatre Company Stage 2, National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, to name a few.

In addition to her opera and theatre design, she has been working intensely in both TV and film.  Her TV costume coordinating work can be seen on THE SINNER Season 3 staring Bill Pullman and Matt Bomer, Godfather of Harlem Season 2 and she just finished a 7 month shoot for Noah Baumbach’s newest film WHITE NOISE designed by the incomparable Ann Roth.

In January 2020 she designed the set for Jose Rivera’s newest play showcased at the 14th street Y called LOVESONG (IMPERFECT) where she and Jose created an anachronistic dystopian world to house three Lovers dealing with love, loss and living forever.

Theatre has always promoted a world of inclusivity, a noble goal that Izzy hopes to always achieve.  She really values bringing unique ideas and different minded people together.  That sense of community is what makes this work so worthwhile!

Her love of storytelling, art collaboration and time travel has made costume and set design a natural career choice.  Her goal is to constantly find a bridge between imagination and reality.

Izzy is a proud member of USA 829 and alumnus of NYU Tisch Graduate Design School for Stage and Film.
